The whole surrounding area has endless possibilities for nature walking at every levels, and ample cycling. Para gliding and all the river sports activities are available nearby and so are the famous canyons of the Verdon. A convenient and regular bus service departs from the village to the pretty medieval city of Grasse “the perfume capital of France”, from there other buses or trains will go anywhere along the 150 km long coast of the world famous “cote d’azur”, from St. Tropez to Monte Carlo.
CANNES (30.5 km / 39 mins) - Film producers and international stars/starlets abound in Cannes during the Film Festival, bringing to the city glamour and ultra chic. At other times white haired ladies drive Maseratis and Lamborghinis for shopping trips, and beyond the famous “Croisette” seaside boulevard, yachts and cruise ships float in the blue water and you can’t always tell which is which by the size. The city of Cannes is centred around the Croisette, but along the boulevard is the scenic old town which is charming and lovely. Beyond still is Cannes la Bocca-Mandelieu, where you will find “free” lovely sandy beaches (a day place on the beach by the Croisette will cost a typical Marks & Spencer junior manager half a month’s wages… but what a view he will get). Nearby is the magnificent town of ANTIBES (37.1 km / 44 mins).
NICE (53.7 km / 53 mins) - Nice is the heart and capital of the French Riviera, it is wonderfully cosmopolitan, sophisticated and patrician with great urban elegance and chic. It offers a dazzling array of colourful impressions and huge charm through its exceptional mediterranean position and climate. Even in winter, the cafes, terraces are filled with people happily drinking and contemplating the ultra famous “Promenade des Anglais” or its many beautiful ochre coloured buildings on streets, boulevards and market places.
VILLEFRANCHE-SUR-MER (59.6 km / 62 mins), ST. JEAN CAP FERRAT (63.3 km / 68 mins) , EZE (73.8 km / 66 mins) - The apex of the French Riviera golden triangle. Among the many mediterranean jewels on the Cote d’Azur, The lovely port of Villefranche-sur-Mer, the beautiful peninsula of the Cap Ferrat and the stunningly breathtaking eagle’s nested village of Eze will provide vivid holiday memories to last a lifetime (look these up on google for all the facts).
